Rishabh Pant seemed to be back in his old form in the second innings and showed glimpses of his artistic shots.
Rishabh Pant hits his trademark one-handed six: The first match of the 2-match Test series between India and Bangladesh is being played in Chennai from 19 September. In this Test match, Rishabh Pant has returned to Test cricket after almost two years. However, he could not perform well in the first innings and scored just 39 runs in 52 balls.
But in the second innings, he returned to his old form and showed glimpses of his artistic shots. Along with this, he also completed his 12th half-century in Test cricket.
Rishabh Pant played his trademark shot
Pant reached his fifty on the third day in 88 balls. But before reaching the milestone, he displayed a slew of his trademark shots, including a one-handed six and a down-on-hitting paddle sweep.
This incident happened in the 40th over of India’s second innings, when Mehdi Hasan Miraz bowled a fuller delivery close to the off stump. Pant moved forward and hit the ball in the air over long off and at the same time he lost the grip of one hand. This one-handed shot had so much power that the ball went straight and fell outside the boundary.
