The age-old rivalry between India and Pakistan has attracted cricket fans from all over the world for many years. However, in recent times, bilateral series is not being played between the two cricket giants. The last Test match between the two teams was played in 2007. Meanwhile, Indian captain Rohit Sharma has expressed his desire to play a bilateral series against Pakistan.
Rohit Sharma has also given the reason behind this. Rohit Sharma has said that, if the series is played in foreign conditions then it will be even more exciting. There has been no bilateral series between India and Pakistan for more than a decade. The two countries now face each other only in ICC and ACC events.

Let us tell you that the last bilateral series between India and Pakistan was played in January 2013, where three ODI matches were played between the two countries. Apart from this, Test series was played between India and Pakistan in the year 2007. A year later, in 2008, there were terrorist attacks in Mumbai, due to which the bilateral series with Pakistan was stopped, but it was started in 2012–13.
However, now both the countries face each other in ICC events like ODI World Cup, T20 World Cup and Champions Trophy. Both the teams face each other in the Asia Cup also. Pakistan team has played ICC events in India in 2016 and 2013, but the Indian team has not toured Pakistan even once in the last 15 years.
