It is noteworthy that Bavuma had suffered a hamstring strain during India’s batting on the second day of the first Test match played against India in Centurion, after which he left the field. This injury of Bavuma was very serious, due to which he did not even come to bat in the first innings of South Africa.

So according to the latest updates, he has been ruled out of the Cape Town Test match against India. Apart from this, Dean Elgar, who played a huge innings of 185 runs in the first test match, will be seen in the role of stand captain.

India eyes comeback

So, when the Indian team will play the second Test match against South Africa in Cape Town on January 3 in the new year, its eyes will be on winning the match and ending the Test series with a 1-1 draw.
