Ravindra Jadeja and Mukesh Kumar have been included in the playing eleven.
The second test match between India and South Africa is being played from today at Newlands, Cape Town. Where the host team won the toss and decided to bat first. Two changes were made by India in this match, in which Ravichandran Ashwin and Shardul Thakur have been dropped from the playing eleven.
Let us tell you that spin maestro Ashwin had taken only one wicket in the first Test in Centurion. Whereas Shardul Thakur took the important wicket of Dean Elgar, but he proved to be very expensive. Ravindra Jadeja has been included in place of Ashwin, while Mukesh Kumar has been included in place of Shardul.
In the first test, Shardul failed to perform well with both ball and bat. Whereas Jadeja has played only one Test in South Africa and took six wickets in that match. It has often been seen that the team management shows confidence in Jadeja rather than Ashwin, as the left-arm spinner is considered as an experienced batsman.
Famous Krishna managed to retain his place
Captain Rohit Sharma was seen spending time with Mukesh Kumar during training and since then there was every possibility of him being included in the playing eleven. However, Prasidh Krishna did not perform well in the Centurion Test and it was believed that Mukesh could play in his place, but Prasidh managed to retain his place.
South Africa captain Temba Bavuma has been ruled out of the second Test with a hamstring injury, while Gerald Coetzee has also been ruled out with inflammation in his pelvis. On the other hand, Tristan Stubbs made his debut.
