Let us tell you, after being disqualified, Vinesh Phogat had appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sports that she should be jointly awarded the silver medal. The court heard the matter. The decision in this case is yet to come but CAS is issuing a statement on Friday that it can give its decision in this case before the current Olympic Games.

This is very good news for Vinesh Phogat. This is because if CAS does not find Vinesh Phogat guilty anywhere, she can get the silver medal. CAS has issued a statement saying that Dr. Annabella Bennett is hearing this case and she can give a decision on this matter by the end of the Olympic Games.

So far, India has won four bronze medals and one silver medal in Paris Olympics 2024. Manu Bhaker was the first to win the bronze medal in shooting. After this, the pair of Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh won the bronze medal in shooting. Swapnil Kusale also won this medal in shooting while the Indian hockey team won the bronze medal on 8 August. Neeraj Chopra won the silver medal in men’s javelin throw on 8 August for India.
