So the second match of this series was played today, on Sunday, 17th November, between the two teams at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium. Let us tell you that in this match, host Sri Lanka has defeated New Zealand by three wickets. After winning the match, Sri Lanka has taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in the ODI series. Wicketkeeper Kushal Mendis played an important role in winning the match for Sri Lanka, who played a brilliant unbeaten inning of 74* runs in 102 balls in the match. Batting first, New Zealand was all out for 209 runs in 45.1 overs against Sri Lanka’s excellent spin bowling.
