However, Shoaib Bashir could not show anything special in batting for England and he was out without opening the account. Ravindra Jadeja trapped Shoaib in his spin. England got its 9th blow in the form of Bashir. After Bashir’s dismissal, the England team was immediately all out.

England’s first innings in the Ranchi Test match was reduced to 353 runs. Joe Root scored the most runs for the visiting team, remaining unbeaten with 122 runs. Apart from Root, Ollie Robinson also played a half-century of 58 runs for the team. Apart from this, Ben Fox also made an important contribution of 47 runs. It was only because of the good batting of these three in the middle order that the England team was able to score 350 runs.
