Sean Abbott batted brilliantly and scored 69 runs in 63 balls with the help of one four and four sixes.
Today i.e. on 4th February, the second ODI match was played between Australia and West Indies. Australia also won this second ODI match and took a 2-0 lead in the three-match ODI series. All the players from Australia performed very well and played an important role in their team’s victory in this match.
Let us tell you, Australia had won the first ODI by 8 wickets. The second ODI was played at the Sydney Cricket Ground, Sydney. West Indies won the toss and decided to bat first in the second ODI. Australia, batting first, scored 258 runs losing 9 wickets in 50 overs. On behalf of the team, Sean Abbott batted brilliantly and scored 69 runs in 63 balls with the help of one four and four sixes.
Sean Abbott did not spare any West Indies bowler and hit everyone hard. Apart from Abbott, Matthew Short scored 41 runs while Aaron Hardy contributed 26 runs. Marnus Labuschagne also scored 26 runs. Cameron Green contributed 33 runs.
Talking about West Indies, Gudakesh Moti took three wickets for 28 runs in 10 overs while Alzarri Joseph and Romerio Shepherd took 2 wickets each. Oshan Thomas and Matthew Ford took 1-1 wicket.

The West Indies bowlers performed very well in this match but the team’s batsmen failed to leave their mark in the second ODI. West Indies was all out for 175 runs in this match. West Indies did not have such a good start in the second ODI and the team lost its first wicket for 19 runs. Alick Athanaze was out after scoring 11 runs.
For West Indies, Casey Carty scored the highest 40 runs in 51 balls with the help of two fours and one six. Captain Shai Hope once again failed to play a big innings and was out after scoring 29 runs. Roston Chase scored 25 runs in the second ODI while Alzarri Joseph contributed 19 runs.
For Australia, Josh Hazlewood and Sean Abbott took three wickets each while Will Sutherland took two wickets. Australia won the second ODI match by 83 runs.
