Bangladesh cricket team is going to tour Pakistan in August-September for a two-match Test series. Meanwhile, a good news is coming for Bangladesh, in fact Shakib Al Hasan will be seen playing in the upcoming Pakistan tour. This has been revealed by Bangladesh Cricket Board Chairman Jalal Yunus.

Jalal Younus gave a big statement

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) chairman Jalal Yunus told The Daily Star,

We spoke to Shakib and he is available for the Pakistan series. If he doesn’t have time, he will leave directly from Dubai or can come to Dhaka to practice for a day or two before joining the team. He will be available for the Pakistan series.

Let us tell you that Shakib Al Hasan has not been able to perform well in international cricket for some time now. The all-rounder is currently seen playing for the Bangla Tigers in the Global T20 Canada League, where his team is second in the points table.

Bangladesh played the last Test series against Sri Lanka at home this year. The team had to face defeat in both the matches of the series. Shakib Al Hasan was not a part of the first Test, he joined the team for the second Test. Where he scored 51 runs and took 4 wickets. Let us also tell you that this was Shakib’s only second Test match played since 2023. Shakib Al Hasan has so far scored 4505 runs and taken 237 wickets in 67 Test matches for Bangladesh.
