However, despite a light financial year, the Melbourne Cricket Club (MCC), which manages the Melbourne Cricket Ground, has posted a profit in recent times.

It is worth noting that the Melbourne Cricket Club has earned a profit of 32.1 million US dollars in the financial year 2024. So now after this earning of MCC, they have decided to upgrade the Shane Warne stand located in the northern part of the ground.

Along with this, MCC Chief Executive Stuart Fox has also made a big statement regarding this. Let us tell you that recently Stuart Fox said on WA Today – The construction of the upgrade is of 18 months’ duration, the samples of which have been presented beyond expectations.

If we take a closer look at the statement given by Stuart Fox, then the upgraded version of the Shane Warne stand located at the Melbourne Cricket Ground can be seen in about 18 months. However, now it remains to be seen how long it will take for this stand to be ready in a new form.

To this end, in collaboration with the State Government and the MCG Trust, the club has developed a business case to explore various options for the future of the Shane Warne Stand. Our current financial position now allows us to potentially contribute to further improvements to the stadium and potential stand redevelopment.
