Yashasvi and Gill came out for India to chase the target of 162 runs given by Sri Lanka. Yashasvi gave India a good start by hitting a four on the third ball. But the match was stopped due to rain. After this, India got a target of 78 runs in 8 overs to win.
The match was delayed due to rain and the overs were reduced. India achieved the target in 6.3 overs for the loss of 3 wickets and won by 7 wickets to take a 2-0 lead in the series.
Ravi Bishnoi won the Player of the Match award
For India, Ravi Bishnoi took 3 wickets for 26 runs in 4 overs while Arshdeep Singh, Hardik Pandya and Akshar Patel took two wickets each. Kusal Perera scored a half-century in this match but apart from him, Ravi Bishnoi was given the Player of the Match award because he had an impact in this match.
Ravi Bishnoi dismissed Pathum Nissanka in the 10th over of this match and then first Dasun Shanaka in the 17th over and Wanindu Hasaranga on the very next ball. Due to his bowling in the 17th over, Sri Lanka failed to score a big score. Bishnoi’s bowling in the death overs was amazing.

“The pitch was a little different from yesterday. The ball was moving a bit. Today the spinners were getting help in the first innings. I stuck to my plans. It (bowling in the death overs) is a good responsibility, it means the captain and the management have faith in me.”
