SL vs IND, 3rd ODI: The third match of the ODI series between India and Sri Lanka is being played on 7 August at R. Premadasa Stadium, Colombo. The host team won the toss and batted first and made a great start. The Indian bowlers had to struggle for a long time to take wickets.

Akshar Patel gave the team its first breakthrough by dismissing Pathum Nissanka in the 20th over of Sri Lanka’s innings. After a great start, Sri Lanka lost its first wicket at a score of 89 runs.

Avishka Fernando faced the first three balls of the 20th over bowled by Akshar Patel. Fernando could not score any runs on the first two balls. Then he hit the third ball towards mid-wicket and ran for a run and gave the strike to Pathum Nissanka. The fourth ball of the over was a dot and then Pathum Nissanka lost his wicket on the fifth ball.

Nissanka tried to play a slog-sweep shot but got a top-edge and wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant took a good catch at cover. Pathum Nissanka scored 45 runs in 65 balls with the help of 5 fours and 2 sixes.
