The third and final match of the T20 series between India and Sri Lanka is to be played today at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium. So far in the series, the visiting team has had the upper hand and the team led by Suryakumar Yadav has taken a 2-0 lead.

By winning the match being played today, the Indian team would like to whitewash Sri Lanka, while on the other hand the host team would like to save its reputation by winning this match. After this T-20 series, a three match ODI series will be played between the two teams. Team India has already announced its team for the ODI series. Today, Sri Lanka has announced its 16-member team.

The selection committee of the Sri Lanka Cricket Board has removed Kusal Mendis from the ODI captaincy and handed over the command of the team to Charith Asalanka. In this way, after the T20 series, he will be seen leading the team in the ODI series as well. Young spinners Dunith Welalage and Janith Liyanage have got a chance. Spin-allrounder Akila Dhananjaya has also been included in the team.
