The two-match T20 series ended in a 1-1 draw.
In the second T20 match played on 10 November, New Zealand defeated Sri Lanka by five runs in Dambulla. In this match, Glenn Phillips bowled brilliantly for New Zealand and played an important role in his team’s victory.
Let us tell you that in this match, New Zealand, batting first, scored 108 runs after losing all the wickets. For the team, Will Young played an inning of 30 runs while Josh Clarkson contributed 24 runs. Mitchell Santner scored 19 runs. Glenn Phillips gave only one run on the first ball of his over, after which he brought his team back into the match by dismissing Pathum Nissanka on the second ball. Pathum Nissanka scored 52 runs in this match although he failed to help his team win the match. On the very next ball, Glenn Phillips dismissed Pathirana and put the Kiwi team ahead in the match.
Nuwan Thusara took one run on the fourth ball of this over, while on the fifth ball, Phillips played an important role in helping his team win by dismissing Mahish Tishna. The two-match T20 series ended in a 1-1 draw.
