The Indian team lost its first wicket at 38 runs in the second ODI. Shefali Verma scored only 20 runs in the second ODI while Dayalan Hemalatha contributed 24 runs. India suffered the second blow at 100 runs after which there was an important partnership of 171 runs for the third wicket between Smriti Mandhana and captain Harmanpreet Kaur.
