Let us tell you, Meg Lanning retired from international cricket at the age of only 31. Recently, Meg Lanning revealed in an interview that after the Commonwealth Games 2022, she took a break of 6 months from cricket and she was currently working at a coffee shop and travelling.

On The Howie Games Podcast, former Australian captain Meg Lanning said, ‘Many things had changed in my life and I went deep into thinking about all these things. I could not understand at all what was happening to me. I had distanced myself from cricket mentally and physically. This is the reason why I did not participate in the Ashes series.

Meg Lanning further said, ‘Earlier my weight was 64 kg but then it fell to 57 kg. I had also become very weak. I couldn’t figure out how to concentrate on one thing. At one point it stopped altogether. I used to wear headphones and go for running. Although mentally I had completely changed. I couldn’t even sleep at night and I had gone completely crazy.

I love sports very much and I wanted to progress in it. I also love coffee and my dream is to open my own coffee shop one day. it’s my dream.’
