Shefali Verma played a record-breaking innings of 205 runs against South Africa with the help of 23 fours and 8 sixes in 197 balls. Shefali Verma has become the second batsman from the Indian team to score a double century in Test cricket.
Apart from Shefali Verma, experienced batsman Smriti Mandhana scored 149 runs in this match. There was an important partnership of 292 runs for the first wicket between these two batsmen. The first day of the game was completely in the name of the Indian team.
India has confirmed its place in the final by defeating England in the second semi-final of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. In this second semi-final, all the players from India performed very well and played an important role in their team’s victory. Now the final match will be played between India and South Africa in Barbados on 29 June.
