The Indian team registered a thrilling victory in the third T20 match against Sri Lanka. In the match played in Pallekele on Tuesday, Team India defeated Sri Lanka in the Super Over and whitewashed the hosts in the three-match series. The 19th and 20th overs of the Sri Lankan innings in the match were thrilling. Rinku Singh and Suryakumar Yadav bowled these two overs and led the team to victory.

BCCI Secretary Jay Shah congratulated Team India after winning the T20 series. Apart from this, other veterans also congratulated Suryakumar Yadav’s team. Now after the T20 series, it is the turn to win the ODI series against Sri Lanka. All the players have geared up for this. Rohit Sharma-Virat Kohli are making a comeback from this series. Both were on a break since winning the T20 World Cup.

Apart from this, the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has confirmed that it will host South Africa for a series of three One Day International (ODI) matches in the United Arab Emirates from September 18 to 22. This three-match ODI series will be the first bilateral cricket series between the two countries hosted by Afghanistan.

The first ODI between the two teams will be played on September 18, while the second and third ODIs will be played on September 20 and 22 respectively at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium in UAE.

Talking about the partnership with Tilak Verma, Sanju said, I have had many partnerships with him, he is a very young player and he is the future of Indian cricket and it is great to partner with him. I don’t like to talk too much, the last time I talked too much I was out for zero twice, I want to keep it simple and focus on what I can do. But Ravi Shastri believes that India should start the innings by promoting Shubman Gill in place of these two. This year, Gill had decided to leave his opening slot and bat at number 3, but now Team India needs him in the opening. Shastri has selected Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal as openers in his playing XI for the Perth Test, while he has given place to KL Rahul at number-3. Rishabh Pant and Dhruv Jurel will be seen handling the responsibility of the middle order along with Virat Kohli. Jurel scored half-centuries in both innings of the last unofficial Test against Australia A. Apart from this, if we talk about bowling options, the former Indian coach has advised India to go with one spinner and four bowlers. Shastri believes that either Ravindra Jadeja or Washington Sundar should play in the Perth Test along with Jasprit Bumrah, Akashdeep, Mohammed Siraj and Nitish Reddy.
