Team India has reached India today after winning the T20 World Cup 2024 title in Barbados. Here the team’s special chartered flight landed at Delhi’s IGI Airport at 6.10 am. Where the players were welcomed in a grand manner.
After this, Team India reached ITC Maurya Hotel. From here the Indian players reached the Prime Minister’s residence to meet PM Narendra Modi in Delhi. PM Modi met all the players and congratulated them for this historic victory. Apart from this, PM Modi also talked to all the players.
During the meeting, Indian captain Rohit Sharma and head coach Rahul Dravid handed over the trophy to the Prime Minister. During this, the players also looked very excited to meet him. PM Modi also took pictures with all the players. After meeting PM Modi, the team left for Mumbai, where after reaching there, Team India’s victory parade will be held between Marine Drive and Wankhede Stadium from 5:00 pm.
After meeting PM Modi, the Indian players shared pictures with him on their respective social media handles and expressed their happiness. They also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for this warm welcome.
