The cricket world expressed deep grief over the demise of Anshuman Gaekwad
Former Indian team coach and veteran cricketer Anshuman Gaekwad passed away on the night of 31 July at the age of 71. He was suffering from cancer for a long time and breathed his last on 31 July. This news sent a wave of mourning in Indian cricket.
The cricket world expressed deep sorrow over this. From Ravi Shastri, Sachin Tendulkar to head coach Gautam Gambhir, everyone condoled his death. Let us tell you that Anshuman Gaikwad was suffering from blood cancer, for which he was undergoing treatment in London. BCCI also provided financial assistance of Rs 1 crore to Gaikwad’s family for treatment.
Apart from this, a good news came for India from Paris Olympics 2024, where Swapnil Kusale has given India another medal in shooting. He has won a bronze medal for India. The cricket world has also congratulated him on this achievement. From Chetan Sharma to Anil Kumble, everyone has expressed their reaction by tweeting.
On the other hand, a three-match ODI series is starting between India and Sri Lanka from August 2. The first match will be played in Colombo tomorrow. For this, both the teams are sweating it out on the field. Meanwhile, Indian batsman Shreyas Iyer was seen practicing bowling in the nets, the picture of which is becoming very viral.
