Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) has signed a deal with New Zealand Cricket (NZC) to broadcast all its international matches in India for the next 7 years. Let us tell you, at present all the matches of New Zealand are being telecast in India through Amazon Prime, although the deal with Prime will end in the summer.
The best thing for Sony Pictures Networks India is that the Indian team is scheduled to tour New Zealand in 2026-27 and 2030-31. The deal will come into effect from 1st May 2024 and will run till 30th April 2021 with the matches also being available to watch on Sony’s digital platform i.e. SonyLiv.
New Zealand Cricket Chief Executive Scott Weenink has given his stand regarding this deal and he himself is very happy that New Zealand Cricket will get a lot of benefits from this deal.
According to ESPNcricinfo, Scott Weenink said, ‘Our deal has been done with Sony Pictures Network India and we are all very happy. He has the ability to change the world rapidly and NZC is also very happy with this deal.
