However, due to the brilliant bowling attack of the RCB team, the Chennai team ultimately had to face defeat by a margin of 27 runs. In this match, Chennai had to score 201 runs to enter the playoffs, but it could only score 191 runs at the loss of seven wickets in 20 overs.
