The group stage matches of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 are almost over and now the Super 8 phase is going to start from June 19. The Indian team has also confirmed its place in the Super 8 phase. Let us tell you, India had won all its matches in the group stage. The match against Canada was canceled due to rain.

Now all the Indian players will look to perform well in the Super 8 as well. However, before the Super 8, experienced all-rounder of the Indian team Ravindra Jadeja has made a big statement. According to Jadeja, spinners can also be seen bowling in the death overs in the Super 8 phase. He also said that the pitch of West Indies will prove to be very helpful for spinners and due to this spinners can also be seen bowling the last overs of the match.

Talking on Star Sports, Ravindra Jadeja said, ‘Whenever we play in West Indies, the wicket here is a bit slow and dry. The time of the matches is also in the morning and due to this spinners will get a lot of help. There are many such wickets in India too where spinners get help. This is very good for us. Spinners can be seen bowling in the middle overs as well as in the death overs.’

Kuldeep Yadav also gave his opinion about the situation in West Indies

Indian team’s brilliant spinner Kuldeep Yadav told Star Sports about this, ‘Spinners will get help in West Indies and that is why I think four spinners have been included in the team. The length of the bowlers is very important in this format and I have said this many times. Last year I played a T20 series against West Indies here and I can say that it was a very good series for spinners.’

Now the Indian team has to play its first match of Super 8 against Afghanistan on 20 June in Barbados. The Afghanistan team is also in very good form at this time and they have won all their three matches. After this, they have to play a match against Bangladesh in Antigua on 22 June, while the team will play an important match against Australia in St. Lucia on 24 June. The players of the Indian team have performed well in the group stage and now if they have to make their place in the semi-finals, then they will have to leave their mark in the Super 8 as well.

Former Australian cricketer targeted Gautam Gambhir, said- he is not suitable for the Indian team

Gambhir had given a sharp reaction to Ricky Ponting’s statement regarding the form of senior batsman Kohli and captain Rohit Sharma. Gautam Gambhir and Tim Paine The Indian team is all set to play the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 against Australia. At the same time, before the series, the phase of rhetoric is going on from both the camps. In this series, former Australian captain Tim Paine has given a big statement regarding head coach Gautam Gambhir. He believes that Gambhir is not fit for the post of head coach. Let us tell you that the first test match between India and Australia will be played in Perth from 22nd November. This series is going to be very important for Gautam Gambhir. Because recently India had to face a clean sweep in the home Test series against New Zealand. There has also been defeat in the ODI series against Sri Lanka. In such a situation, there is a lot of pressure on Gautam Gambhir as head coach. Before leaving for Australia, Gautam Gambhir addressed the media, in which he gave a very sharp reaction to Ricky Ponting’s statement. There were reactions from fans including former cricketers on this. Now former Australian cricketer Tim Paine has also spoken openly on this. What he was asked was a very simple question – Tim Paine I didn’t like his reaction, the former wicketkeeper-batsman told SEN Tassie. I think this would not send a good signal. What he was asked was a very simple question. That said, I think he’s probably still looking at Ricky as someone he’s playing against, but Ricky is a commentator now – he’s paid to give opinions, and his opinions. It was absolutely correct. Virat is struggling, it is a matter of concern. But for me, the biggest concern for India at the moment is not Rohit Sharma’s batting, not Virat Kohli’s batting, it is their coach and his ability to remain calm under pressure. Paine further said that, Ravi Shastri had created a great atmosphere, the players were energetic, they played with passion, he sold them dreams and really inspired them in a light and entertaining way. They’ve got a new coach now who’s really angry, competitive. And that doesn’t mean it’s not a good thing and not a good way of coaching – but my concern is that it’s not suitable for the Indian cricket team.
