Speaking on Fox Cricket, Steve Smith said, ‘If we talk about international T20 cricket, I don’t know where it is going? They wanted to include some players in the team and that’s fine. The team management wants to include strong players in the squad for the World Cup who can play aggressive cricket. I have come to know this very well. I have nothing to do with it. My only job is to improve myself further.’

Steve Smith performed very well in the recently concluded Major League Cricket. Not only this, under the captaincy of the brilliant batsman, Washington Freedom won this important tournament. While playing for Washington Freedom, Smith scored 336 runs at a strike rate of over 148.

The brilliant batsman further said, ‘I just want to get another chance in the IPL. My recent performance in T20 cricket has been very good and I just want to include my name in the upcoming tournament and enjoy it.’

Steve Smith last participated in the tournament in the 2021 season of the Indian Premier League. He was seen playing for Delhi Capitals in the 2021 season. The experienced batsman has scored 2485 runs in 103 IPL matches at a strike rate of 128.09. He also has 11 half-centuries and a century to his name.
