Team India will tour Australia in November 2024. Before the start of the tour, Australia’s legendary batsman Steve Smith has given a big statement. Hearing his statement, it seems that Steve Smith is already looking forward to facing the new pace sensation Mayank Yadav. Let us tell you that LSG’s speedster has created a fear among the batsmen with his fast bowling in the Indian Premier League.

Mayank troubled the PBKS and RCB batsmen with his fast pace and won the Player of the Match award in two consecutive matches. Mayank has moved to second place in the IPL 2024 Purple Cap list after taking six wickets in just two matches. Steve Smith stressed the difference between bowling four overs and bowling 20 overs. Smith also said that the way Yadav hits the ball in the right area is commendable.

Steve Smith praised Mayank Yadav fiercely

Speaking on Star Sports, Steve Smith said, “There is a difference between bowling four overs and bowling 20 balls. Mayank Yadav’s progress has been quite good from what I have seen so far. So he is bowling in good areas, bowling good short lines and the same is the case with these young players.”

The Australian veteran batsman further said, “And you look at all those balls. There wasn’t a single slow ball, so you don’t have to worry about it at this stage. You can have it in this arsenal. We haven’t seen it yet, but you can probably count on it. You can come inside the line or maybe give a little space and go, use the speed and let it come to you.

Let us tell you that Mayank bowled the ball at a speed of 156.7 kilometers per hour in the match against RCB and broke his own record. His fastest ball recorded in the last match was 155.8 KMPH. With this, he has now become the bowler who bowled the fastest ball in IPL 2024.
