Sunrisers Hyderabad lost the IPL 2024 final by 8 wickets.
The IPL 2024 final match was played between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders on 26 May at MA Chidambaram Stadium Chepauk. In the match, Hyderabad won the toss and batted first and were all out for 113 runs in 18.3 overs. In response, Kolkata chased the target with 57 balls to spare and won by 8 wickets. Kolkata has captured its third IPL title under the captaincy of Shreyas Iyer.
Sunrisers Hyderabad reached the playoffs this year after the IPL 2020 season. But the team could not win the final under the captaincy of Pat Cummins. The Hyderabad team has registered an embarrassing record in the IPL 2024 final.

In IPL 2024, Sunrisers Hyderabad put 287 runs on the board against Royal Challengers Bangalore. Which is the highest total in IPL history. The team with an explosive batting lineup got badly beaten against Kolkata in the final. The team was all out for 113 runs, which is the lowest total in the final of the league.
Team openers Abhishek Sharma (2) and Travis Head were out on golden duck. After this, Rahul Tripathi (9), Aiden Markram (20), Nitish Kumar Reddy (13) and Shahbaz Ahmed (8) also could not do anything special. Heinrich Klaasen scored 16 runs, while Pat Cummins played the highest innings of 24 runs for the team in the final.
