Irfan Pathan helped a lot
33-year-old Swapnil Singh made his Ranji Trophy debut for Baroda at the age of 14. He has played Under-19 cricket with Virat Kohli and was also his room partner during a tour. Also, Kohli and Swapnil were also part of the Under-15 NCA camp in 2004.
Swapnil Singh was first bought by Mumbai Indians in 2008. Swapnil got his first IPL wicket of Mahendra Singh Dhoni when he was playing for Punjab Kings under the captaincy of Glenn Maxwell. He was the leading run-scorer for Baroda in the 2016–17 Duleep Trophy. In 2019, he was at number-2 or number-3 in the ranking of all-rounders in India.
Then after Covid, Swapnil Singh did not get a place in the Baroda team. After which he decided to leave the Baroda team. Then with the help of Irfan Pathan he found a new state team. Swapnil Singh became a net bowler for Lucknow Super Giants with the help of his friend Deepak Hooda. Where he also improved his batting under the supervision of Andy Flower and Gautam Gambhir.
