Team India’s chartered flight landed at Delhi airport at 6:10 am on Thursday
There is a festive atmosphere in the country after Team India’s arrival in India from Barbados. After meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi, the Indian team has left for Mumbai and a victory parade will be held there from 4 pm. Before this, wicketkeeper Sanju Samson has shared the first glimpse of the special jersey.
Team India can wear this special jersey during the felicitation ceremony and the open-top bus parade in Mumbai. Sanju Samson posted a picture of the specially designed Indian jersey from the team hotel in Delhi. His post went viral in no time.
The jersey shared by Samson has two stars above the BCCI logo, which symbolizes India winning its second T20 World Cup trophy. Earlier, India won the inaugural edition of the tournament in 2007 under the captaincy of MS Dhoni. The word ‘Champions’ is also written on the front of the jersey.
