T20 World Cup 2024 starts from June 2
Former Australian cricket team opener and T20 World Cup champion captain Aaron Finch has selected Australia’s playing eleven for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024. It is noteworthy that this time this multinational tournament will be played jointly hosted by USA and West Indies.
The tournament will begin with the opening match on June 2 between the USA and Canada at the Grand Prairie Stadium, Dallas. So Australia will start its winning campaign with the match against Oman on 6th June.
Finch did not give place to this player:
However, former captain Finch has selected Australia’s strong playing eleven for this tournament. But a veteran player has not been given a place in this team. Let us tell you that Finch has not given place to former captain and left-handed batsman Steve Smith in this team.
Apart from this, Finch has replaced David Warner and Travis Head as the opening batsman in this team. Apart from this, Mitchell Marsh, Marcus Stoinis and Tim David have been selected in the team as all-rounders.
Apart from this, Josh English has been selected in the team as wicketkeeper, while Finch has selected Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood in the Kangaroo team as fast bowlers. However, the most surprising thing is that Aaron Finch has selected only one spinner in the form of Adam Zampa.
