Ranji Trophy 2024: Musheer Khan breaks Sachin Tendulkar’s 29-year-old record in the final

He has broken the 29-year-old record of great batsman Sachin Tendulkar and became the youngest player to score a century for Mumbai in a Ranji Trophy final. On the third day of play, Musheer completed his century in 255 balls. He scored this century at the age of 19 years and 14 days. On the other hand, the legendary Sachin Tendulkar played a brilliant inning of 140 runs against Punjab in the Ranji Trophy final at Wankhede in 1994-95, when he was 21 years old. Talking about the final match being played between Mumbai and Vidarbha, Mumbai, batting first, scored 224 runs in the first innings. Where Shardul Thakur batted brilliantly in the lower order and scored 75 runs. After this, Mumbai bowlers wreaked havoc and bowled out Vidarbha for just 105 runs in their first innings. On the third day, Musheer Khan maintained his rhythm from the beginning and led the innings with Shreyas Iyer after Rahane was out for 73 runs. During that final, Tendulkar played a brilliant inning of 140 runs for his team and Mumbai declared their first innings at a huge score of 690/6. His innings helped the team win another title.
