At the same time, as per the rules framed by BCCI for IPL, any company which buys the ownership of IPL franchise cannot transfer its stake to any other company before the prescribed lock-in period. Whereas this lock-in period of CVC Capital Partners is ending in February 2025. Also, if the media reports of Economic Times are to be believed, Adani Group and Torrent Group have shown interest in buying the ownership of Gujarat Titans franchise. CVC Group now wants to exit the ownership of the company, while Adani Group has made a bid of Rs 5100 crore and Torrent Group has made a bid of Rs 4653 crore to acquire new ownership.
