However, after Covid arrived in 2020, this rule could not be followed. Last time also the IPL final was held in Ahmedabad as Gujarat Titans won the title in 2022. It is believed that this will be the last IPL season of former CSK captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni and after this season Mahi will retire from this tournament. CSK won the fifth IPL title last season Chepauk Stadium is the home ground of CSK.
