At the heart of the complex will be an international cricket-cum-football stadium with a seating capacity of 30,000 spectators. However, the facilities are not limited to just major sports. According to The Times of India, a DDA official said, ‘It will be an integrated multisports zone comprising an international cricket-cum-football stadium with a seating capacity of 30,000, indoor multisports facilities with a seating capacity of 2,000, a club house facility with a minimum membership of 3,000, and other facilities for swimming, tennis, badminton, squash, table tennis, etc.’ We want that more and more international events should be played here: DDA official The DDA official said, “All sports facilities developed at the site will be available to users without the need for membership. Non-members can access the facility on a pay-and-play basis and will be allowed a minimum of 25% of the capacity of the facilities.” The project, estimated to cost INR 350 crore, is designed to be more than just a sports venue. It will include around 3.5 lakh square feet of commercial facilities, including retail space, a hotel and office areas, all of which will be available on a 99-year lease.
