The final match of the tournament was played on 29 June at Kingston Oval ground in Barbados. In the final, Team India defeated South Africa by 7 runs and won the title under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma. So after winning the T20 World Cup, the world champion Indian team reached India on 4th July. Here, first of all, Team India met Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in the PM Office and after that the evening program was held at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Also, after this felicitation ceremony, today on July 5, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde was also seen felicitating the rest of Team India players, including Rohit Sharma, who are from Mumbai and play cricket for Team India.
