So now, according to the latest media reports, England cricket team captain and veteran all-rounder Ben Stokes can sign a two-year contract deal with the ECB. Also, Stokes’ contract can be extended till the Ashes series to be held during the year 2025-26. You may remember that last time in the ECB’s contract policy, star cricketers Joe Root, Harry Brook and Mark Wood had signed contracts for three years, while Ollie Pope and Jofra Archer had signed contracts for two years. Whereas in October last year, Stokes had signed a contract for only one year.
