On 12 October, it was announced that Uthappa would lead a team of former Indian star players including Kedar Jadhav, Manoj Tiwary and Stuart Binny in the six-a-side tournament to be held from 1 to 3 November. Returning for the first time since 2017, the Hong Kong Cricket Sixes will feature renowned cricketers from 12 countries competing in the event.
