Also, according to the new rules, elected presidents cannot be re-elected in future. Jay Shah will replace the current chairman Greg Barclay in ICC. It is noteworthy that Barkley was selected for the first time in 2020. Since then he has completed 2 terms. There was also a change in the rules of women’s ranking In addition to the change in the tenure of the chairman’s post, the ICC Chief Executives Committee (CEC) has announced changes to the women’s ranking rules. After the new rule, any team will have to play at least 8 matches in ODI and T20 formats every year to get into the ICC rankings. Earlier there was a rule to play 6 matches.
