However, now news is coming that the International Cricket Council (ICC) has decided to extend the current tenure of its new chairman. Earlier the tenure of the Chairman was of two years, which has now been reduced to three years. Earlier any chairman could complete three terms of two years each. But now that the tenure period has increased, any chairman can be elected only for two consecutive terms. But Shah will now remain on this post for two consecutive terms, whose duration will be 3 years each. Now it will also be known as BCCI Center of Excellence. The new NCA has been created in keeping with the vision of BCCI Secretary Jay Shah, and aims to help in the skill development of the future generation of cricket in India. BCCI has three world-class grounds in the new NCA. The new NCA is spread over 40 acres of land, with a total of three grounds and 86 pitches, including both indoor and outdoor pitches. All three grounds have been designed on the lines of English county grounds. The main ground, which is Ground A, has a boundary of 85 yards, with 13 red clay pitches available for playing. Grounds B and C are mainly laid out for practice with a boundary of 75 yards. The ground also has 11 Mandya clay pitches and 9 Black Cotton clay pitches. In case of rain, Subsurface Drainage System is installed, so that water can be drained as quickly as possible after the rain. Apart from this, the center also has 45 outdoor net pitches. There is a fielding practice area and six outdoor running tracks right next to the nets. Integrated cameras have also been installed For indoor facilities, eight pitches exist with turf from the UK and Australia. Additionally, there is an 80-metre common run-up area, as well as reinforced glass panels. In the indoor arena, there are also integrated cameras that will capture the game for better analysis, ensuring that players can complete their practice regardless of time and weather. The dressing room is also excellent The South Pavilion is a two-storey building spread over 45,000 square feet, with the largest being the dressing room, which is approximately 3,000 square feet, with a Jacuzzi, lounge, massage room, kit room and toilets. Now the statement of PCB President Mohsin Naqvi has come out on this. Mohsin Naqvi said that there is no concern about BCCI Secretary Jay Shah becoming the ICC Chairman. At the end of last month, Jay Shah was elected unopposed as the ICC President. The current President Greg Barclay did not want his third term. In such a situation, elections were to be held, but no other contender stood before Jay Shah, so he was elected unopposed as the ICC Chairman. Matters related to the new chairman will be finalised in the meeting.” Jay Shah will take over as ICC chairman on 1 December 2024. He is the youngest person to become ICC chairman. He is the fifth person from India to become the ICC chief after Jagmohan Dalmiya, Sharad Pawar, N Srinivasan and Shashank Manohar. Pakistan is to host the ICC Champions Trophy next year, but it is believed that as soon as Jay Shah becomes the ICC chairman, he can announce the decision that Team India will not go to Pakistan to play the ICC Champions Trophy and Team India’s matches will be held at neutral venues.

The state associations have been informed about the AGM meeting on Thursday, September 5 through a notice. The meeting will begin with the inauguration of the much-hyped High Performance Centre in Bengaluru. BCCI secretary will not be elected in the AGM meeting There is a lot of discussion going on about who will become the new BCCI secretary after Jay Shah becomes the ICC chairman. There are reports of Arun Jaitley’s son Rohan Jaitley becoming the BCCI secretary. There were speculations that the BCCI secretary would be elected in the AGM. However, there is no possibility of the board’s new secretary being elected in the AGM meeting on September 29. If the Annual General Meeting (AGM) goes as planned, the BCCI will have to hold a Special General Meeting (SGM) to elect a new secretary, which will be held on December 1 before Jay Shah’s tenure as ICC chairman begins.
