After the match, his health deteriorated and he died of a heart attack. His death has come as a big shock to Mumbai cricket. He became the president of MCA last year During Amol Kale’s tenure, Wankhede successfully hosted the World Cup 2023 matches. The domestic cricket circuit also achieved success under his leadership. Mumbai won the Ranji Trophy in the recently concluded 2023-24 season. Amol Kale was also in the core committee of the Street Premier League and had plans to revive the Mumbai T20 League. He became the President of the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) only last year. Amol Kale was said to be close to Devendra Fadnavis and was supported by Fadnavis and Sharad Pawar to become the President of the MCA.
