Anshul Kamboj ripped apart the India B batting order with his pace bowling and recorded his best bowling performance in first-class cricket on the fourth day of the fourth match of the Duleep Trophy 2024. Kamboj bowled sensationally (8/69) to bundle out India B for 332 in their first innings and help India C take a massive 197-run lead. Kamboj had taken five wickets on the third day of the match and then on Sunday he ended India B’s innings by taking three wickets. Fast bowler Kamboj became the third fast bowler to take eight wickets in Duleep Trophy after Debashish Mohanty (10/46) and Ashok Dinda (8/123). Kamboj dismissed batsman Narayan Jagadeesan (70) and then four other batsmen. After dismissing Mushir Khan (1) and Sarfaraz Khan (16) LBW, he got Rinku Singh (06) caught by Ishan Kishan, while Nitish Kumar Reddy was bowled after scoring two runs. On the fourth day, he dismissed Rahul Chahar, Navdeep Saini and Mukesh Kumar.
