It is worth noting that the second round of the ongoing tournament is being played at the Gramin Vikas Trust Stadium in Anantapur. Here India A is facing India D. At one point in the match, India A had lost 6 wickets for 144 runs in the first innings when Kotian came to the crease to bat. Till this time Mulani was present at the crease after scoring 31 runs. After this, both of them showed their class and took the team out of the difficult situation by making a partnership of 91 runs for the 7th wicket. Mulani scored 89 runs and Kotian scored 53 runs, due to which India A was able to score 290 runs in the first innings against India D. But Surya has not been able to recover from the hand injury he suffered in the recently concluded Buchi Babu tournament, due to which he is not able to play in the tournament. Currently, he is at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) and is recovering. If everything goes well, he may be seen playing in the upcoming three-match T20 series against Bangladesh.
