There is a language problem with foreign coaches, we need a language translator: Naseem Shah
Pakistani players have long had problems speaking and learning English. Naseem Shah (Image Credit- Twitter) Language is a very important medium for the exchange of ideas. Cricket, the world’s second most loved sport, is also not untouched by this. Cricketers have to use language for planning and other important work before playing a match. So when players do this work, they are most comfortable in their local or mother tongue. But when they have to speak or understand a language different from this, and if they have not learned that language, then they may face difficulties. On the other hand, Pakistani fast bowler Naseem Shah has put forth his views on this issue. It is worth mentioning that for some time now, the coaches of Pakistan’s national cricket team have been foreigners and the current white ball coaches are Gary Kirsten and Jason Gillespie. Kirsten is South African while Gillespie is Australian and is more comfortable in English. On the other hand, the understanding of English by Pakistani players is well known. Also, when Naseem communicates with foreign coaches, he finds it a bit challenging. Also, to end the challenge, Naseem has talked about a language translator. Naseem Shah gave a big statement Let us tell you that in a recent press conference, Naseem Shah, as quoted by Cricket Pakistan, said – There is a language problem with foreign coaches. We need someone to translate the language. It is easier to communicate with the coach in your own language. Naseem further said about Pakistan’s performance in the World Cup 2023 and T20 World Cup 2024- Our comeback was not good and we cannot deny that we did not play good cricket. Criticism is a part of it and we should bear it until things get better. This is a good opportunity to come back, play better and perform as a team.

Sarfaraz khan and dhruv jurel (Image Credit- Twitter) The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has released the list of its central players today on 28th February. Let us tell you that many new players in this list have got contracts, while some players have been seen demotion along with promotion. Let us tell you that the central contracts of players like Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer have not been renewed, whereas in fast bowling, the rising stars of domestic cricket Vijay Kumar Vaishak, Vidwat Kevirappa, Yash Dayal and Umran Malik are also expected to get central contracts soon. Also, Yuvvendra Chahal and Shikhar Dhawan have been thrown out of the contract. However, amidst all this, a question may be coming in your mind that why Sarfaraz Khan and Dhruv Jurel, who were part of the Indian team in the Test series against England, have not got a place in this contract. So let us tell you that there is a technical reason behind this due to which both of them have not been able to get the central contract yet, but they will get it soon. This is how Sarfaraz and Jurel will get BCCI’s central contract. Let us tell you that for any Indian player to get the central contract of BCCI, it is mandatory to have experience of at least 3 Test, 8 ODI or 10 T20 matches. If a player has this experience then he automatically gets BCCI Grade C contract. So, Sarfaraz and Jurel have played only two test matches for India, hence they have not been included in this contract. However, if he is successful in playing the test match to be held in Dharamshala then he will get this contract. The list of players included in BCCI’s central contract is as follows List of Grade A Plus players Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja. List of Grade A players R Ashwin, Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj, KL Rahul, Shubman Gill, Hardik Pandya. List of Grade B players Suryakumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant, Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel and Yashasvi Jaiswal. List of Grade C players Rinku Singh, Tilak Verma, Ruturaj Gaiwad, Shardul Thakur, Shivam Dubey, Ravi Vishnoi, Jitesh Sharma, Washington Sundar, Mukesh Kumar, Sanju Samson, Arshdeep Singh, KS Bharat, Prasidh Krishna, Avesh Khan and Rajat Patidar.
Now BCCI will explain things to Ishaan and Shreyas in their own language, the board is going to take a big decision.
Team India’s star cricketers Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer may be dropped from BCCI’s central contract due to skipping Ranji Trophy matches. Let us tell you that, Iyer was included in Grade B of Central Contract in March 2023, under which he gets Rs 3 crore annually. While Ishan Kishan was placed in Grade C earning Rs 1 crore annually. According to media reports, BCCI will soon announce the new central contract list for players and both Kishan and Iyer may be left out of that list due to not playing domestic cricket. Kishan has been on a break for personal reasons after leaving the team midway through the South Africa tour due to mental fatigue. Whereas Iyer was recently dropped from the Test team for the last three Tests. However, BCCI has not given the reason why Shreyas Iyer was dropped. A source quoted by Times of India said, “The selectors under the leadership of Ajit Agarkar have almost finalized the list of centrally contracted players for the 2023-24 season as well, which the BCCI will announce soon. Kishan and Iyer are likely to be left out of that list as both are not playing domestic cricket despite BCCI orders.” The 29-year-old Iyer had informed the Mumbai Cricket Association that he was not available for selection due to back spasms. However, Nitin Patel, head of sports science and medicine at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru, emailed the BCCI and the national selectors to say that Iyer is fully fit and can play the match. Another source revealed that Iyer was ruled out of the last three Tests against England as a precaution and the email sent by Nitin Patel was after the second Test, but since then a back problem has troubled him Is.
