In every match, records are being made one after the other in the tournament and are being broken in the very next match. This feat happened in the 30th match of IPL which was between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Sunrisers Hyderabad. In this match, Sunrisers Hyderabad gave a record breaking performance and won over RCB by 25 runs. In this match, Hyderabad, batting first, scored a record 287 runs on the basis of Travis Head’s century. However, in reply, RCB team could score only 262 runs for 7 wickets. Dinesh Karthik contributed the maximum 83 runs for RCB. It was Head whose innings made the match for SRH. After the match, Australian fast bowler Pat Cummins, who is leading SRH, took to his Instagram handle to thank his teammate Travis Head for his match-winning innings and posted a picture. Cummins wrote the caption on the post, “This man is different – 287 runs in one T20 🤯 🤯 🤯” Marnus Labuschagne expressed interest at the bottom of this post. Labuschagne wrote in the comment below this photo, WOW… Please note that Labuschagne is not a part of the IPL 2024 season. That’s why there was confusion in Pat Cummins’ mind. He gave such a reply to Labuschagne that the fans went crazy laughing. Labuschagne replied, “@marnus3 you’d clear the fence here at Bangalore. (You would have stayed clear of the fence here in Bengaluru).” Cummins said this because Labuschagne is a Test player and considering the explosive batting that Head has done in T-20, no one will even question Labuschagne. See post here- Pat Cummins (Photo Source X) RCB tried its best but could not win Despite the excellent performance of captain Faf du Plessis and Dinesh Karthik, RCB could not register a win against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Batting first, Hyderabad scored 287 runs for 3 wickets in 20 overs on the basis of Travis Head’s century and Heinrich Klaasen’s half-century. This was the biggest score in the history of IPL. In reply, RCB also batted brilliantly, but the target was so big that the team fell behind by 25 runs. RCB could score only 262 runs for 7 wickets in 20 overs. A total of 549 runs were scored between the two teams in this match. For Sunrisers Hyderabad, captain Pat Cummins took three wickets for 43 runs.

After this mediocre performance, there is constant talk about his place in the team. However, now Cummins has given a big statement supporting Labuschagne. Out of form Labuschagne got support from Cummins Let us tell you that regarding the poor test form of Marnus Labuschagne, Pat Cummins quoted Fox Sports and said – Not at all. He will be the first player to admit that he just needs to score a few runs to stay in the team. His poor form is not due to lack of practice in the nets. Apparently he was out in the second innings (first Test against New Zealand) due to down leg problem. Cummins further said- We are very clear about our team that these 6 players are the best batsmen of our team. Although sometimes this is not seen, the story of our team has been that when someone needs someone, someone always stands up. Let us tell you that at present Labuschagne is an important member of the Australia team in the two-match Test series against New Zealand. However, it will be worth watching whether he will get a place in the playing eleven of the second Test match against New Zealand starting from March 8 or not?
