It is worth noting that in the upcoming season of IPL, home team Punjab Kings (PBKS) is going to face Delhi Capitals (DC) on March 23. Let us tell you that Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) had already prepared a plan to build a new cricket stadium in Mulanpur, while the foundation of this stadium was laid in the year 2008. After the construction of the new stadium, it is expected that cricket will now be shifted here from the traditional venue of IS Brinda PCA Stadium in Mohali. Also, this stadium has been built as per international standards which can host IPL matches as well as international Test cricket and ODI matches. So recently, Punjab Kings franchise has also shared a video of this new stadium on its official X account. Apart from this, PCA has also received green signal from BCCI for holding the match in the stadium. We are grateful to BCCI Secretary Jay Shah for showing confidence in us. We want fans to be able to enjoy the game in the new stadium. It is noteworthy that recently BCCI has announced the schedule for 21 matches to be held in the first phase of IPL. So, keeping in mind the Lok Sabha elections, the schedule of the second phase is likely to be delayed.
