Let us tell you, this important tournament was played in West Indies and USA. The committee comprises former New Zealand batsman Roger Twose and two other directors Lawson Naidu and Imran Khawaja, who is ICC vice-president. The ICC has suffered a loss of more than $20 million by organising matches in New York, Florida and Dallas. According to PTI, the International Cricket Council said in its release statement, ‘The ICC Board has confirmed that the organisation of the ICC T20 World Cup will be reviewed. It will be overseen by three directors, Roger Twose, Lawson Naidu and Imran Khwaja who will report back to the board at the end of the year.’ According to the report, the savings allocated for the US leg of the tournament was around $150 million. It was found that the budget had been exceeded by a reasonable distance which was flagged by some influential board members of the global body. The poor quality of the drop-in pitches, the ticketing system and logistical issues raised ICC’s concerns. A closer look at how various tenders were awarded also raised concerns. USAC received notice The USAC Cricket Governing Body has been formally given notice and given 12 months to meet the ICC’s Associate Membership criteria. According to the ICC’s Associate Membership criteria, USAC lacks compliance on two counts: 2.2b (i) governance, 2.2b (ii) administrative and executive structure. USAC has not complied with the US Olympic and Paralympic Committee (USOPC) criteria mandatory to be recognised as a national governing body (NGB) to be part of the Los Angeles Games in 2028, where cricket is one of the medal events. “Cricket USA and Cricket Chile have been formally issued notices and have 12 months to recover from non-compliance with ICC membership criteria,” the statement said. 5 Australian players who scored half-century in their debut IPL match IPL 2024: These 11 foreign players took crores of rupees but flopped IPL 2024: 5 players who hit the most sixes in the 19th and 20th overs of IPL 5 fastest bowlers in IPL history Who are the head coaches of all 10 teams in IPL 2024?
