Later, Gujarat Titans also released him. He was bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore in the auction and for this reason, the franchise was also trolled at one point. But he performed well for RCB that season. Dayal took 15 wickets in 14 matches and helped RCB qualify for the playoffs. The journey from Gujarat to Bangalore was not easy for Dayal. He was criticized throughout the year and there were doubts whether any franchise would pick him for IPL 2024. However, RCB kept faith in Dayal, which helped him make a great comeback. Talking about this, Dayal told that star batsman Virat Kohli welcomed him in the team and said that he would never feel like an outsider in the team. Yash Dayal praised Virat Kohli a lot While talking to Sports Tak, Yash Dayal said, “The biggest thing he (Kohli) told me was that he would support me for the entire season and I would not feel like an outsider in the team. He supported me wholeheartedly throughout the season which was encouraging for me. He interacts with the youth just like anyone else and I did not feel like that with him, unlike what people say about him on TV.” Apart from this, Yash Dayal also talked about the RCB dressing room and said that the atmosphere there was very cool and the seniors were very nice and supportive. He also expressed interest in staying with RCB in the future but left the decision to the management. It is the management’s call (regarding the mega auction) and I would like to represent only RCB right now.”
