Ishan Kishan and Rishabh Pant (Image Credit- Twitter) The doors of the Indian team are not completely closed for Ishan Kishan yet. Let us tell you that recently Kishan was not selected for the three-match Test series against Afghanistan. Earlier, he did not get a place in the Indian team even for the all format series on South Africa tour. However, Ishan Kishan had cited mental fitness as the main reason behind this, due to which he could not participate in these series. But at the same time, some media reports also came out in which it was said that there were some differences between the Indian Cricket Board and Kishan, due to which he was not selected during these two series. After this, speculations started that Kishan might not be selected for the T20 World Cup to be jointly hosted by USA and West Indies in June this year. But now a big statement from the team’s head coach Rahul Dravid has come out regarding not only Ishan Kishan but also Rishabh Pant who is out of the Indian team due to injury. Aditya Birla Group leads the race to get title sponsorship of IPL

Currently Tata Group is the title sponsor of IPL. TATA IPL Trophy. (Image Source: BCCI-IPL) India’s multinational business conglomerate Aditya Birla Group seems to be ahead in the race to get the title sponsorship of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Let us tell you that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had invited bids for the 2024-28 cycle, in which the reserve price was Rs 350 crore per year, which comes to Rs 1750 crore for five years. However, according to the latest media reports, Aditya Birla Group has made a bid of Rs 500 crore per annum, which is about Rs 750 crore more than the previous bid. It is noteworthy that Tata Group has remained the title sponsor of IPL for the last two years after Vivo company ended the IPL title sponsorship deal midway in 2021, for which it has given Rs 670 crore to BCCI in the last two years. However, now the board wants title sponsorship for the next five years, for which the board had issued tenders last year on December 12, 2023. The last date for submission of bids for this tender was January 13, 2024 till 5 pm. Also, no Chinese company will be able to participate in this bid. So in this bid, BCCI seems to be getting the highest bid from Aditya Birla Group. However, if BCCI’s rules related to title sponsorship are followed, then the current sponsor Tata Group will have the right to bid first, but for this they will have to make a bigger bid than Aditya Birla Group. On the other hand, if Aditya Birla Group is successful in winning the title sponsorship of IPL, then it will become very famous among the youth of India as well as the world, due to which its 65 billion dollar business seems to be benefiting a lot. At present, both the players are considered very important for the Indian management from the point of view of T20 World Cup 2024. Also, let us tell you that both the players were also part of the Indian team that won the gold medal in the 2023 Asian Games. A BCCI source gave a big statement Let us tell you that a senior BCCI official was quoted by Times of India as saying – The selectors and team management want him (Shivam Dubey) to bowl as much as possible, because this increases the value of Dubey as a player. This is the reason why he is bowling well during this series. If he can bowl a few overs with the ball, he can cement his place in the team for the T20 World Cup to be held in West Indies and USA. This is important as he is a great backup to the injured Hardik Pandya. On the other hand, let us tell you that Rinku Singh can also get the central contract of BCCI.
