There are many ways in which this can happen – like appointing Gambhir as the head coach and Raman as the batting coach or keeping Raman separately for red ball cricket. One can use them in many ways as both can benefit Indian cricket and that is what should be the focus. The source further added, “Raman has seen these youngsters grow closely while working as a coach during various Under-19 and A series. He could be the right person to handle these players as the team is going to undergo a massive change in the next few matches. After the World Cup and ODIs, it is likely to start in T20, it will also start in Tests in the next 12-15 months. Former Indian batsman Gautam Gambhir worked as a mentor for IPL franchise Lucknow Super Giants for two seasons.
