The 38-year-old veteran, who announced his retirement on Saturday (August 24), can now participate in the T20 league outside the Indian Premier League. Legends League Cricket will be organised in September. On joining Legends League Cricket (LLC), Shikhar Dhawan said, “My body is still ready for the demands of the game. I am comfortable with my decision and cricket is an integral part of my personality. It will never leave me. I am looking forward to reuniting with my cricketing friends and continuing to entertain my fans. We will create new memories together.” LLC founder made a big statement about Shikhar Dhawan Welcoming Dhawan to the league, Raman Raheja, Co-Founder, Legends League Cricket said, “We are thrilled to have Shikhar Dhawan join us. His experience and temperament will undoubtedly elevate the tournament and entertain the fans. We are looking forward to seeing him in action alongside other legends of cricket. This will further strengthen our position as the second innings for legendary cricketers.” Many cricket superstars have joined Legends League Cricket after retirement. This includes players like Aaron Finch, Martin Guptill and Hashim Amla, who joined the league soon after retirement. The next season of Legends League Cricket is scheduled to start in September 2024, in which retired cricketers will be seen playing.
