Anjali Tendulkar’s mother Annabelle Mehta recently talked about the time when Sachin asked Anjali for her hand in marriage at the age of just 19. Sachin Tendulkar immediately responded to Annabelle Mehta’s questions by saying that he wanted to marry her daughter. Anjali’s mother also revealed that she was a bit surprised by the answer of 19-year-old Sachin. ‘We want to get married’ were his exact words. I was stunned, I had always imagined Anjali marrying a tall, dark and handsome man. Sachin was dark and handsome, but even at 19 he was still a boy and so short. Anjali was taller than him, being five and a half feet. Sachin’s bouncy hair might give him another inch, but he was not tall enough for Anjali to wear high heels.
